After 12 years of working with other companies, Ron Pruiksma decided to open his own real estate agency with business partner Amy Werner. But it wasn’t going to be just another company. “We wanted to create a platform where meaningful service and philanthropy were introduced into every transaction,” said Pruiksma. “So we created Mission Realty.” Pruiksma explained that the company’s name has three different layers of meaning. The first, to provide exceptional real estate service with agents and brokers who truly advocate on behalf of their clients. The second, to pay it forward by company tithing, and the third, to volunteer in the towns in which we live and work. Mission Realty will be donating 10% of it’s pre-tax profits to local charity and all of the agents at Mission are mandated to actively participate in charitable and/or volunteer work. Some of the organizations agents are already involved with include Donate Life Organ Transplant, Lighthouse Pregnancy Center, Autism Speaks. The Wounded Warrior Project, and more. ”The real estate process can be a stressful one, not only for our clients but for the agents as well. Participating in volunteer work brings a new sense of purpose and meaning to our work and it really is an honor and responsibility that we take seriously” adds Werner, a ten year real estate professional and Broker herself. “Our mission is to surround ourselves with and affiliate with people who genuinely care about the communities in which they live”. Both Pruiksma & Werner learned from an early age that giving back is the right thing to do. “We have so much to be thankful for, and the most important and most valuable thing that we can give to others is our time. Being there for someone when they are in need is a true blessing" he said. Mission Realty is located in the Wyckoff Shopping Center at 637 Wyckoff Ave, 2nd floor, office 1.
